Finding inspiration in your business

The Power of AI in Business

A significant part of the conversation focused on the new advancements in AI technology, particularly Meta's AI. Kylie shared her excitement about Meta’s new AI tools available on platforms like Messenger, Instagram, and more. They illustrated how easy it is to generate impressive content, be it text or images, using simple prompts like "imagine a dog doing yoga."

For those who haven't yet explored these tools, they offer a tremendous opportunity to alleviate some of the creative workloads. While Jenni admitted to being a bit out of the loop, they were eager to catch up and make use of these exciting AI capabilities.

Traditional Forms of Inspiration

While AI tools are impressive,Kylie and Jenni agreed that traditional forms of inspiration still hold immense value. Here's how they utilise these methods:

  1. Podcasts and Audiobooks:
    • Kylie finds immense value in business-focused podcasts, which they listen to whenever they are in the car. These podcasts help spark new ideas and provide valuable insights.
    • Jenni prefers audiobooks and has a suite of them they turn to for inspiration. They find these books particularly useful for sparking thoughts and driving motivation.
  2. Networking and Conversations:
    • Both Kylie and Jenni acknowledged the power of networking. Although one host finds traditional networking a bit overwhelming, they appreciate the value of engaging in meaningful conversations with fellow business owners. Such interactions often spark new ideas when least expected.
  3. Personal Routines and Activities:
    • Kylie and Jenni shared their routines that help clear their minds. Kylie uses ukulele and whistling sessions to rejuvenate creativity, while Jenni finds folding laundry surprisingly meditative. These activities create mental space, allowing inspiration to flow more freely.

The Importance of Planning

Organisation and planning play crucial roles in creating the mental space necessary for inspiration. How scheduling tasks, even hated ones, can be an effective way to get things done. For instance, one tackled a task they procrastinated on by setting it as their first job at 6 a.m., ensuring its completion without any distractions.

The other echoed this sentiment by illustrating how they give themselves time to think about projects before diving into them. This method of planning ahead allows their brain to ruminate and gather thoughts, ultimately leading to a burst of productivity when they sit down to work.

In-Person Events and Workshops

Kylie and Jenni also talked about their upcoming Growth Trio events, which will be held in various locations across Australia. These events aim to blend learning and networking, allowing attendees to be inspired by other incredible business owners. They emphasised the value of these in-person interactions for sparking new ideas and creating connections that can lead to growth.

The key takeaway from this blog is the importance of blending new technological tools with traditional methods of inspiration and planning. AI tools like Meta’s new features can provide fresh ideas and ease the creative process, but they should be complemented with podcasts, audiobooks, personal activities, and networking.

Explore different methods to find what sparks your creativity. They also look forward to meeting their listeners in person at the Growth Trio events, where attendees can experience the power of collective inspiration.
